It’s 8:47 and I am sitting in an airplane on my way to Minneapolis, for a few days. Damian (my boyfriend) invited me to come along with him to a conference that he will be attending while we are there. I am so excited for a few reasons. One being that this is the first place we have gone since Puerto Rico, and although it’s going to be colder than Buffalo it’s still nice to get away.

Another reason that I am excited is the fact that I don’t need to worry about going to class or work for five days. I can sleep in later than 4 or 7 which never happens to me. I can workout in a gym, swim, order room service, and so much more. I DON’T have to do dishes or redo dishes that were “washed”, as well as any other cleaning activity.

I am mostly excited to explore the city with Damian though. I’ve never been to Minneapolis and it’s going to be great to see how nice Buffalo could look if its officials could make up their minds. I’ll be doing homework and then adventuring. Visiting galleries, the Mall of America, and I have to make a trip to Lush cosmetics. This is going to such a nice getaway and the only thing I have to look forward to for a couple of months.

Christmas is fast approaching and I still have so many things I want to get Damian. I’m done for my family, and mostly for Damian I just have this overwhelming urge to get him more. I think I’m going to get him a few more things and then save the rest for his birthday in February.

We got our tree up finally last week after weeks of me wanting to buy it (I have a problem with waiting to get things). We went with a rustic look and white lights, it’s pretty classy.

Now that I have the new iPhone I am, obviously, app crazy. Basically the fact that I have so many camera effects and styles on my phone has me completely enthralled. First off the camera itself takes great pictures, and the video recorder is pretty great too. After playing with a few camera apps my favorite is Instagram. It takes a basic picture using the phones camera bur then has multiple styles that you can place over your film, early bird has quickly become my favorite. The Photoshop app isn’t too bad either.u second favorite is the tilt shift app!

This last month has been crazy busy with upcoming holiday preparation, final school projects, as well as more hours at work. Suffice to say I don’t get much sleep in fact probably around 4 hours a night. But I’m still enjoying myself and I make time to relax and be with my man.

I am ready in the Christmas mood and have purchased more then half if the gifts that I need to get. In fact I had already wrapped some of them too. One thing that I an super excited about is the fact that I am writing this post on my brand new iPhone! My incredible boyfriend got it for me as an Xmas gift but because of the limited time he would have to send it back decided to give it to me early. Not only that but he also got me a really handsome winter jacket from Urban Outfitters.

I’ll leave you all with a wish of a Happy Thanksgiving among friends and family. I know I am super excited to be taking Damian to my grandmothers house tomorrow!

I can’t believe how long its been since I posted something. It’s always upsetting to me when I realize just how much I neglect my blog, although I rarely ever actually keep up with it after I vow to start again.

As you can see my life is far from interesting these days. The most exciting thing that I have done is repaint my living room an awesome shade of teal, buy a new coffee table as well as an area rug, light, curtains, and dishes. Although I find all that awesome I’m sure a whole blog about my and my boyfriends spending isn’t that great of a read. Well adios for now…maybe I can thing of entertaining things for people to read in the near future.

I have been contemplating the relevance of my blog lately and I have to say I am not particularly happy with it. I feel like I need to put a purpose to my blog or at least comment on the complexities of society and life, maybe even get philosophical. However my blog seems to be something more of random thoughts or updates on my life and what I find interesting. I am not saying that I don’t like my blog becuase I do, it helps me to vent and just gives me something to entertain myself with. I do however think that from now on I am going to mix my posts up, most likely with animation related things.

I am talking about new animated film, and old. What I find to be good in animation and what I think is poor, as well as what I am doing in school. Lets start right now with what I am doing in my Junior Group Film project. Myself as well as Andrea, Anthony, and Liz are all in one group together, and I am the group leader. We are focusing our efforts on 2D rather than 3D. The concept for our film is tattoos that come to life on a mans back and brawl for the attention of a sexy pin up gal. So far we have flushed out the story and are now working on the concept art. There are a total of 3 major characters, then animated backgrounds that surround them. This project really has be excited becuaes I want it to be good enough to submit to festivals, and I think that my group can handle making something fantastic ( especially with me at the helm ;) ).

The three main characters are a Pin up girl, a Samurai, and a Sailor. I want the character design to reflect off of their role, as well as the style that the tattoos usually are related with. The Samurai has to be sharp, fast, and styalistic. The Pin up needs to be buxom and beautiful most likely with a strong outline and flashy colors. While the sailor needs to be bulky and masculine most likely with a traditional style of tattoo art.

I have finally started back up at school and its my 5th semester which makes me a junior. Villa is pretty much the same as it has been although they upgraded their Cafeteria and now they call it the “Bistro” I think they are trying to make it sound fancy and therefore good (http://villa.edu/). I am taking 15 credit hours and that means I am taking 5 studio classes. The only one that is not related to my major is Exploration in Cinema, and even that I can use towards any movie making that I may do. The other 4 are Stop motion animation, Lighting and Rendering, Special Effects, and Junior Group film project. All of which are going to have me busting my ass.

I am also working anywhere between 20-35 hours a week, hopefully (simply for the sake of sleep) it stays more towards the 20′s.  My days consist of me waking up at 4a.m. going to work until 9:30 running to Damian’s office to change, flying to school for my class at 10:40 then working on homework (or going back downtown for lunch with Damian) until my next class at 5:30 then getting out at 7:40 going home to cook, do some more homework, shower, and then go to bed. That is my Monday, Wednesday and Friday I don’t work on Tuesday or Thursday because my classes are too early, and on the weekend all I do is work. All in all I am happy with working and having class, it keeps me busy and gives us money for fun (when we have time).

I got back from the Caribbean seas more than a week ago, but I just haven’t had the free time to post anything about how amazing it all was. First off it was the first time being out of the country, and the first time going somewhere far without my family. Not only that but I got to do all of that with an amazing guy who I am in love with.

We arrived in San Juan, after waking up that morning at 4 having my parents drive us to Buffalo and then flying to Chicago before heading to Puerto Rico. When we got there we explored San Juan, and of course our first stop was Starbucks :D After that we went to El Modo which is an old castle that is located in the “old San Juan” area.

Coffee was so needed

After San Juan it took 3 hours with traffic to get to Rincon where we were staying with a friend of Damians. In the proceeding days we visited Mayaguez, Aguadilla, and eventually Ponce. We spent a majority of our time at our hosts uncles beach house where we swam around the local reef. I got too swim with so many beautiful tropical fish, I even saw one of the camouflaged flat fish. While swimming we were collecting shells and sea glass which we will use in our soon to be filled fish tank.  While in Puerto Rico we saw Inception and Salt and both movies were fantastic and I can’t wait to buy both of them, and name my daughter Ariadne.

The island was gorgeous in so many ways, although he houses and the upkeep were a big disappointment. The people that live on the island don’t keep it clean, and they don’t keep their houses in good condition. Added together this makes the island look rather drab and shabby, at least in the populated areas. The lush forests and the beautiful ocean is hard to tarnish. All in all it was an amazing trip and made even more amazing by the company I was with.

So after about 4 months of not receiving my Starbucks Gold Card, but getting plenty of free coffee coupons, I decided that I wasn’t going to go there anymore. Now I work there :D and I absolutely love it. Its really chill, and all of my co-workers are fun and understanding. I get a great amount of hours, and they are always willing to work around things. Like my little trip to Puerto Rico with mi amore Damian. Not to mention I can transfer to any Starbucks store, so I always have a job no matter where I may move. Plus the free pound of coffee a week and drinks to boot are a great incentive alone. I am in suck a great place right now!

Oh and p.s. I can’t wait for classes to start up again!

Work is amazing, My Boyfriend is  Fantastic, Amazing, Fabulous, Stupendous, and any other word that compares to these, the apartment is great and I am having a wonderful summer. Oh and this is where I am going to be in 2 weeks.
